Do You Need To Fail To Succeed?
No.
Yesterday I wrote a long comment to James Altucher’s post on NotePD.
Then hit “post”.
Nothing happened.
I lost everything.
Maybe it was a bug in the app.
Maybe it was the internet connection.
I do not know for sure.
All I know is it hurt.
But I wrote the comment again.
This time, I copied the text before I hit “post”.
Right there.
I reduced the chances of failure.
And increased my chance of success.
Did I need to fail?
No.
My failure was only a consequence ignorance.
Ignorance of the principles of success.
Ignorance of what I needed to do to post a comment sccessfully.
Success is different for you.
The principle is the same for everyone.
Everything you do is guided by certain principles.
A principle is the basic idea which makes something work the way it works.
If you do not study the principle of something, and you get right to work,
You will surely make mistakes.
And because you do not understand why you make the mistakes,
You will say “I failed”.
And when you understand the principle behind something,
It does not mean you will not make mistakes.
It does not mean the mistakes will not hurt.
Rather, you will begin to see each mistake differently.
You will see it as a challenge.
A challenge you must overcome to get more and more success.
A challenge to make the principle work better and better to produce greater and greater results.
When you understand this,
It is easy to see that failure is not needed to succeed.
You will see that:
The chances of failure decreases as you gain more and more understanding of the principles that guide your what you do.
