Enter Into The Spirit of Life

In the previous letters,
we saw that the nature of the Power that creates the Universe, including yourself,
is Life, Love and Beauty.
And its motive it to express the LIfe, Love and Beauty it feels itself to be.
So, the question is, how can we make the Spirit of Life work in us the way it works naturally?
To do that, we use a simple scientific method.
The same method used to achieve every scientific advancement.
It says that if you want to make a natural law produce results that it does not produce naturally,
First, you observe how the law works under natural conditions.
Second, carefully figure out what principle is indicated by the way it works in nature (Ask why it works the way it does)
Lastly, deduce how the same principle would work if you introduce new conditions that did not exist naturally.
The evolution of shipbuilding is a good example of how this method works.
Many years ago, every ship was made with wood instead of iron because wood floats naturally and iron sinks. But today, every ship is made of iron.
How?
When the law of floatation was observed carefully, it was seen that it works by a simple principle. And the principle is that an object floats when the weight of liquid displaced is equal to the weight of the object.
Knowing this principle, iron is now made to float by the same law which made it sink; because by introducing a personal factor (new elements to cause the law to produce a new result), we provide conditions which were not present naturally.
Now how can we use this scientific method to make the Spirit of Life work in ourselves, the way it is works naturally?
Because if we can enter into the Spirit and make it work in ourselves, the way it works naturally, the magnum opus will be achieved.
Now, it is a fact that all natural laws can produce higher results if a personal factor is introduced. But to introduce the personal factor, there must be an individual who is aware of how the law works.
From the law of floatation example, we saw that if there was no one to observe and study how the law of floatation works, the law could not make an iron float.
The same way, without the element of Individual Personality, the law of Spirit can only work in the natural universe.
So where can we look to study how the law of the Spirit works naturally?
Certainly, not death or disease.
We already saw that, to get a law to work in the way you want it to, you must observe how it works naturally; then ask why it works that way.
And when you learn this, you shall be able to make it work further.
This is why the law of floatation was not discovered by observing things that sink;
But by observing things which float naturally and then intelligently asking why they floated (to get the principle).
The way to understand how a law works is to study the affirmative action of the law. When we get this point, we are in a position to correct the negative conditions which prevent it from working or introduce new conditions to make it work further.
Since death is the absence of life and disease is the absence of health; then to understand how the Spirit of Life works, we must study it where it is found.
This is why we start our studies by considering the cosmic creation because that is where we can find the Spirit of Life working even before we were born.
And we saw that the Spirit works by reflecting itself in centers of Life by a law of reciprocal action. And each center gives rise to multitudes of individuals.
This is how the Spirit works.
Therefore, to enter into the Spirit of Life means must see our lives as drawn direct from the Spirit.
And since each center of Life exist as a Thought/Imagination in the Mind of Spirit;
And the forms each center takes are only a reflection/effect of the thought in the Mind of Spirit;
Then to enter into the Spirit of Life, means to see and maintain ourselves as a Thought in the Mind of Spirit.
If we do this, we make the Spirit of Life flow in us, as it is flows naturally.
If we do this, we make the Spirit of Life work in us, the way it works naturally.
Now since each center of life is a thought in the Mind of Spirit and;
the thought produces multitudes of individuals with a particular form,
the question is, what thought are we in the Mind of Spirit?
Each of us is part of a multitude of individuals called Humans.
But what is the thought in the Mind of Spirit that gives rise to us?
Man.
Man, not associated with particular circumstances like;
male or female.
Old or young.
Poor or rich.
But Man as an Absolute idea.
Therefore anyone who learns to stop associating themselves with particular circumstances and see themselves as a thought in the Mind of Spirit;
will in turn cause the Spirit to see them as its own thought, Man.
And by a natural law of cause and effect;
the individual who realizes this mental attitude enters permanently into the Spirit of Life. And the Spirit becomes a never-ending fountain of Life springing up naturally in them.
This individual finds themselves to be "the image and likeness of God".
They have reached the level at which they afford a new starting point for the creative process.
And the Spirit, finding a personal center in them, begins it's work afresh,
This individual has therefore solved the great problem of how to make Universal work directly on the plane of the particular.
If you think carefully of the principles stated in these letters so far, they will bring clarity to things that were unclear before.
And they will help you understand the next letters.
